Dominic Brennan

Notoriously impossible to buy wine for (apparently), Dominic’s friends have recently resorted to buying more and more outlandish ‘world’ spirits in lieu of a decent bottle of plonk for dinner parties. Some guests have avoided alcohol altogether, leading to a small but ever-growing collection of orchids and scented candles. Every cloud…

Little do they know that he does in fact have a passion for finding exceptional wines at great value. Whilst this does rule out Jacob’s Creek and Blue Nun, this blog aims to uncover wines that won’t break the bank but manage to impress everyone who drinks them, mainly in the £10 - £15 bracket.

Dominic is a wine professional working specifically in Fine Wine investment and has a penchant for wines from Italy & France.

Through articles, tasting notes and tastings Dominic aims to demystify an industry that is an art form and one which evolves and modernises on an almost daily basis. Wine is one of the greatest ways of travelling through time, or across continents, from the comfort of your own dodgily-assembled IKEA sofa, but it can so often seem overwhelming. So he hopes you’ll dip in occasionally and perhaps find a new house red, a gift for a dinner party, or perhaps your future wedding fizz… !
